Course Overview: This course is designed to teach students basic theories and vocabulary of art through a variety of activities.

 

Students will be introduced to:

Rubbing Collage - Incoporating texture in drawing through

                  rubbings.

Pencil Sketching - Students learn basic sketching techniques

Charcoal Sketching - Sketching with carcoal to study value,

                  shape, form, and texture

Colored Pencil Fragmented Line Drawing - Students will be

                  introduced to fragmented objects, focusing

                  on shape and form.

Optical Illusion - Student will learn drawing techniques and

                  focus on depth of space.

Ceramics - Students will learn basic clay sculpture and

                  glazing techniques.

Art Critique - Students will learn art critique format and

                  style.

Watercolor Pencil - Students design, draw, and paint scene.
