Color & Design

 

Course Overview:

 

This course includes study of Line, Shape, Color, Texture, and Space. Students explore elements of art and incorporate into individual art.

 

Color harmony combinations, design elements from line, geometric form construction, and teories of balance, both symmetrical and asymmetrical. Styles of design patters should be included.

 

Projects include:

1. Line drawing in nature with basid design and shading

2. Line & Value: Drawing and shading bamboo

3. Study of line: painting bamboo (painting nature)

4. Abstact/geometric shape design

5. Exploring patterns with line, shape, & color; Color Scheme

6. Abstract shape w/realistc animal design (depth of shape, not of space)

7. Abstact/geometric with space drawing (space, depth,color, shading)

8. Contour wrapped animal

9. Texutre, shape, and color patterns
