Course Overview: Students will be introduced to:
Pointillism - Student will practice pointillism to create
an art piece.
Scratchboard - Scratchboard will be used to create
different hues and values. A student chosen
picture may be used.
Linoleum Reports - Students will research linoleum hsitory
and techniques.
Linoleum Prints - Linoleum cutting will be used to create
defined lines and textures.
Paper Sculpture - Paper design and cutting will be used to
create a 3-dimensional paper sculpture.
Ocarina Research and Sculpture - Students research Ocarina
Art History and write a two page paper in
APA format. Students create an Ocarina from
clay.
Op Art Study - Following research regarding Op Art,
students design and draw an optical illusion
drawing.
Watercolor Theory Journal - A paper journal is created by
applying color theory information and
artwork.
Paintings - Theory and techniques will be applies in
creating paintings using both watercolor and
acrylic.
